Located in the heart of Canberra at 68 Northbourne Avenue, Capital Eatery is not just your average café; it's a vibrant hub for coffee aficionados and food lovers alike. This delightful eatery strikes a perfect balance between a cozy café atmosphere and a bustling cafeteria, making it an ideal spot for friends to catch up or for solo diners to enjoy a comforting meal.

Upon entering, you'll be greeted by a clean, bright, and spacious environment that invites you to unwind and savor the delightful offerings on their menu. Speaking of the menu, breakfast items here are not to be missed. Start your day with the franchise’s famous Eggs Benedict, elegantly crafted with poached eggs, smoked ham, and a rich Hollandaise sauce perched on a toasted English muffin, all for A$17.90. If you lean towards the green, the Vegie Patch plate, featuring a medley of poached eggs, fresh tomato, succulent mushrooms, spinach, and creamy avocado on toast, is a heavenly experience at A$18.00.

The lunch menu showcases a variety of fresh, gourmet delights that are sure to please even the most discerning palate. For instance, Richard Ma raved about their tender lamb shank—tender, flavorful, and generously portioned, maintaining a price that’s hard to argue with. Guests can couple their main course with other popular selections like the restaurant's savory gourmet pies or their delectable pumpkin salad, which was a particular highlight for many patrons.

There's nothing quite like sipping on a cup of Capital Eatery’s expertly brewed coffee. As cited by Aneel YT, the coffee is both rich and flavorful, making it a worthy companion to any meal. Whether you're a seasoned Melburnian coffee lover or just someone who enjoys a good cup of joe, the quality here won’t disappoint. Plus, the friendly staff add to the overall ambiance, ensuring that everyone feels like part of the Capital Eatery family.

Though the café shares similarities with others in the area according to a review from Richard Brooks, it still stands out for its inviting atmosphere and an intriguing range of bakery products. Don't forget to take a peek at their dessert selection—a tempting array that’s sure to stir your sweet tooth before you make your final decisions!

In conclusion, if you find yourself in Canberra and are on the lookout for a cozy, quality spot to enjoy a meal, Capital Eatery comes highly recommended. Not only does it boast a diverse range of meals to cater to varying tastes, but its atmosphere and exemplary service create the perfect blend for a rewarding dining experience.

A great spot to have a chat over a coffee. They also had a really interesting range of bakery products. My ham and cheese croissant was pretty tasty, as was my coffee. I may visit again however it isnt that different to a lot of the other cafes around so I wont be rushing back.

Clean, bright & spacious, this cafeteria-style restaurant sets a high standard for both quality & quantity at lunch weekdays. Do checkout the dessert selection before ordering your main to makes sure you won't be tempted. Prices are reasonable but not well displayed. The toilets are behind the Canberra Quarter's lift lobby

Fantastic lunch on a Monday afternoon. Had a variety of items served fresh, everything was popular so I noticed nothing would sit out longer then a few minutes. Particular liked the gourmet pies and the pumpkin salad. Coffee was fantastic, as a Melburnian, was impressed to have coffee just as good as south Melbourne or Fitzroy when I’m home to see family.

Recently visited Capital Eatery for lunch n it was absolutely impressive. Lamb shank was tender, flavourful, and incredibly satisfying. Price was more than reasonable in terms of its decent taste n generous portion. Coffee was one of the best Ive had in Canberra. The staff were all super friendly and welcoming. Highly recommend this place for a cozy and quality lunch spot in the city area.

Loving the cafe atmosphere with indoor and outdoor seating, most tables close to the wall with charging points and USB points which is a credited bonus. Foods and services are excellent.
